Months before the upcoming season airs, the creators of Face Off are already searching for their next cast. This week at the MUD campus in Burbank, students began auditioning for their spot on Syfy’s riveting competition of make-up artists.

This exclusive audition began with the contestants doing a self make-up application.

As explained by the Creative Director, the key ingredient for a solid candidate is the ability to sculpt. And then, of course, there is the talent factor. Anyone can learn application, but because contestants are required to do up to five creations in a day, they have to be able create and recreate.

Do you have what it takes to compete on a future season of Face Off? If so, they want to hear from you! As the show continues to look for talented and creative special FX make-up artists, they are eager to hear from interested artists by email at [email protected] or by phone via Pitman Casting at 818.666.3606.

Face Off is a competition / elimination series exploring the world of special-effects make-up artists and the unlimited imagination that allows them to create amazing works of living art. As a member of the multi-generational family dynasty whose name is synonymous with the make-up effects field, actress McKenzie Westmore brings expertise to her role as host of the series. Some of SFX world’s most celebrated figures judge the competition — multiple Academy-Award winner Ve Neill (The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean,) industry veteran Glenn Hetrick (CSI: New York, Heroes, Legion,) and creature designer Neville Page (Avatar, Prometheus.) World-renowned Hollywood makeup artist Michael Westmore (Star Trek) serves as the contestant mentor.”
