Make-Up Designory was founded with the vision of providing students with a quality education, grounded in real-world skills in a rigorous, academic setting. Make-Up Designory’s schools in Los Angeles and New York are licensed in the respective states in which they operate.
Both our Los Angeles and New York Campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). ACCSC is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education. In 2003, the Los Angeles Campus fulfilled ACCSC’s requirements for institutions seeking initial accreditation and was recognized as a 2003 ACCSC School of Distinction. In 2008, MUD’s New York Campus fulfilled ACCSC’s requirements for institutions seeking accreditation. The New York Campus was recognized as an ACCSC School of Distinction in 2009 and as an ACCSC School of Excellence in 2014.
MUD’s Program Advisory Committees (PACs)
One of the most exciting requirements of being accredited by ACCSC is MUD’s collaboration with our PACs. We see it as an opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of excellence.
- Our PACs include experienced make-up artists who represent various facets of the industry, MUD graduates who know our curriculum inside out, and seasoned educators who have devoted their careers to student learning.
- Each year, we are obligated to host biannual meetings in which we receive oversight and recommendations from our PACs.
- This review and oversight helps us to evolve our curriculum, policies and student services, and ensure that we continue to provide up-to-date instruction in relevant industry skills and techniques.
