MUD Now Offers Part-Time Schedules and Short Courses

With two main campuses in Los Angeles and New York along with our network of Partner Schools and MUD studios, Make-Up Designory strives to bring the best in make-up education to both the novice and experienced artist. MUD courses are designed along strict curricula with defined goals and our teachers are trained to help you meet and exceed your aspirations. The new MUD studio courses give you the opportunity to enhance your knowledge, add to your passion for make-up artistry, or to help re-position you towards a new career. The standardized curriculum and focused teacher training of the MUD staff, allows you to have the same level of quality regardless of where you take a MUD course. In fact, the courses can be taken at one location or at different locations. Despite where the location you choose, your course records are tracked and certifications are delivered through the MUD corporate offices in California.

Certifications

Upon enrollment, a make-up kit and course tools are supplied which contain a unique serial number and application. Once you’ve completed a course, the application with the corresponding serial number will be submitted to MUD’s corporate office. Your attendance is then recorded and a certificate will be issued to you. The courses are divided into two categories, Level I and Level II. The Level I, Beauty Essentials Course consists of 84 hours of instruction and practice, and is the foundation of your make-up knowledge. The Level II Courses offer a variety of specialty subjects in order to enhance the knowledge of niche artistries.

Students who complete the four Core Specialty courses, Studio, Airbrush, High Fashion and Bridal Make-up, will achieve the Level II certification and be able to transfer to a main campus program having completed the equivalent of Beauty 101. Level I and Level II Make-up Artist certificates and cards are awarded upon completion of each level.

Prospective students are required to pay a $25 application fee per course. To get the full benefits of the advanced Level II courses, there are required pre-requisites.
