MUD Cares Holiday Project a Big Success!

MUD Cares

Last month, Make-Up Designory partnered with Concourse House to make the holidays brighter for homeless women and children residing at their New York shelter. On December 22, we provided wrapped gifts for children currently staying at Concourse House as well as makeovers and product gifts from the MUD shop to five mothers selected by the Concourse House Social Services Director for their outstanding progress.

Julius Stone (Admissions) was Santa Claus while Erica Shantzek (Admissions) and Angelique Velez (Career Services) were Santa’s Little Helpers and helped pass out gifts to the children. MUD graduate Treasa Manigault and students Erika Lee, Jenna Lazzaro and Olga Postolachi volunteered to do makeovers for the mothers. The event was a huge success and the mothers were truly grateful for the experience. For many of them, this was the first time that they had been given a makeover – and they loved it! The children enjoyed the gifts and the chance to take a picture with Santa. This was a great way to spread the holiday spirit… Thank you to everyone who participated!
