How to Create a Trendy Graphic Liner Look Using Our Pro-Favorite Cake Eyeliner

Graphic liner is the must-try bold trend for spring! With unlimited possibilities to unleash your inner artist, graphic liner allows you to play around with color, shape, negative space, and more. In this look, resident MUD artist Amber Sanchez used our long-lasting, water-activated Black Cake Eyeliner to layer and create a unique, alternative look. Our Cake Eyeliner is a pro-favorite and effortlessly achieves both super fine lines for everyday wear as well as thicker lines for more intense dramatic looks. Check out the step-by-step tutorial below to learn how to re-create this popular look.

Products Used:

Step 1: Start from the tear duct and create a traditional winged liner look using our Black Cake Eyeliner. Don’t forget to hug the lash line!

Step 2: From the outer corner of your eye where your winged liner begins, use a #100 Eyeliner Brush#210 Angle Liner Brush, or #900 Round Liner Brush and Black Cake Eyeliner to create quick, horizontal brush strokes using minimal product. The lines should look like a pencil sketch. Be careful not to extend them too far beyond your wing. Don’t worry about it being messy, that’s the idea!

Step 3: Use the same method to apply a few quick, short brush stokes vertically over the horizontal lines you just created. If you brush starts to dry out too much, add more water and re-activate the Cake Eyeliner.

Step 4: Create a small graphic line on the inner corner of your lower lash line to balance out the look.

Step 5: Curl your lashes and apply our Eyelash #107
