Spanning 77 clock hours, Beauty 301: Beauty Lab prepares students for professional work through a series of challenging, real-world projects. Students will complete makeup and hairstyle setups on professional models for a series of photo shoots, simulating actual working environments. Each setup will be captured digitally by a professional photographer for use in the student’s portfolio. Additionally, students will learn how to start and manage their freelance careers, providing a comprehensive understanding of the makeup industry.

Beauty Lab  Overview:

Advance your journey in the beauty industry with the Beauty 301 course at Make-up Designory (MUD), designed to prepare you for real-world professional environments. This course focuses on challenging, hands-on projects that mirror actual industry scenarios.

The resulting images will be essential for your professional portfolio, showcasing your abilities to potential clients and employers.

This component of the course will cover essential topics such as setting up your business, managing finances, building a client base, and effectively marketing your services. This course meets Monday through Friday and consists of 210 clock hours. Day sessions are 6 weeks long, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Maximum class size: 22 students. This course is a part of the Fashion Make-up Artistry, Film & Television Make-up Artistry, Multimedia Make-up Artistry, and Master Make-up Artistry programs. The course when offered on a stand-alone basis is not accredited.* In addition to the listed amounts above, the State of California requires we add an addition $2.50 per $1,000 of institution charges for the State’s Student Tuition Recovery Fund.
