When you’re serious about providing a quality education, the beauty is in the details.
This is why both schools are licensed by the respective states in which they are operated. Accredited in 2003, the Los Angeles campus was honored as a distinguished school by the Accrediting Commission for Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), a private, non-profit, independent accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
In 2006, the New York campus also received initial accreditation. Just recently, Make-up Designory received the prestigious School of Excellence title by the ACCSC at the annual Professional Development Conference. A repeat accomplishment for MUD, the Burbank campus has also been recognized with the 2008 School of Merit Award and 2003 School of Distinction Award while the New York campus received the School of Distinction award in 2009.
Pro Advisory Committees
One the most exciting requirements of being accredited by ACCSC is that we are obligated to hold two Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings each year. Our PAC is comprised of experienced make-up artists who represent all the faces of make-up artistry, graduates who know our curriculum inside and out and fellow educators who have committed their lives student learning. Our PAC meetings lead to lively discussions about our curriculum, policies and student services. PAC commentary is taken to heart and has led to many school changes- this constructive criticism is what keeps us relevant in our industry and is important to creating make-up artist that work! And our PAC members know the industry! Just look at the experience this group brings to helping our students succeed:
